Green and Gold Home Decor Ideas

Have you considered decorating your home in green and gold? We’re sold! It’s been said that green is one of the easiest colours to decorate with, because being a natural tone, green is almost a neutral. Natural tones tend to make us feel good, due to their association with nature, so a green room is a relaxing room.

Something we particularly love about green is that it works well with almost any other colour; however we particularly like it with gold (or brass or bronze)! There’s just something about glistening gold that offsets the coolness of green, making the combination look opulent.

This green Marks and Spencer arm chair works perfectly with our gold and brass tripod table. The bold and colourful cushions set off the look and our insect inspired tea set makes you want to sit down, put your feet up and enjoy a nice cup of tea in your beautiful surroundings!   To work this green trend on the walls is really easy!  Any shade, from sage to dark to mint, looks great.  Then you can start to add in the gold accents. We love a few classically beautiful gold photo frames and our Hummingbird wall-clock also looks fab against a green background. What do you think?

Naturally, it makes sense to incorporate a some plants into the mix, because one of the great things about green is you can combine all shades and it will always work. Add a few large botanical prints, magnified to show every wonderful bit of detail to liven up any empty wall space.

If you like to incorporate a bit of fun into your home decor, these standing Hello word ornaments or these 3D wall art wire words are great – and effortless too!

Colour painted furniture to match the walls is totally on trend right now, so if you’ve dared to give your chest a lick of paint, then some shiny golden handles will create a sophisticated look. Our hexagon door knobs like most knobs, are super easy to replace your old ones with too.

There are so many ways to give your home a facelift without necessarily spending a lot of cash. Slightly shifting the vibe of a room in a different direction, can make a bold statement and give you gorgeous results! See our full selection of home products here.
