How to Get a Beautiful Bathroom on a Budget

If you’re tired of walking into your bathroom and are dreaming of a change, we’ve got bathroom decorating ideas for you that are inexpensive and simple to do!
 
First off a lick of paint can do absolute wonders to a bathroom without costing a bomb! It’s a quick and easy upgrade which can be done over a weekend. We recently talked about our love for dark tones in bathrooms in our ‘Dare to go Dark’ post, to give a warmer vibe than the typical stark white most people go for. Next all you need to do is adorn those walls!
 

Celebrate the beauty of botanics!

As we may have mentioned, we’re big fans of botanicals, and what better room to add some greenery than your bathroom? Now if you’re not particularly green fingered then why not go for some botanical prints. Think palm, bamboo and banana leaf prints for some tropical touches.

Go for gold!

When thinking of bathroom decorating ideas why not consider something a little different? A wall gallery of hanging gold edged mirrors can look marvellous without breaking the bank or if you want something a little more ‘ooh la la’, maybe some wire wording is more up your street.

 
Clear the decks
A little decluttering in your bathroom can also make a real difference, clear the side space and round the sink for a more ‘styled’ look. If you’re challenged for storage space (and let’s be honest we’re all beauty cosmetics hoarders aren’t we?) add in a few handwoven seagrass baskets on the floor. They are the perfect place to store bottles of all sizes or they work really well for rolled up towels too.

Accessorise darling!
A select few finishing touches can literally take your bathroom from toilet to powder room. Add in a few plants to create a more homely space. Try some arty plant pots to add some personality. If you’re pants at looking after them, they have some great faux ones available in Ikea (we won’t tell if you don’t!). Or if plants aren’t your thing, you could opt for a botanical design soap dispenser to add a little pizazz to the sides.
Don’t be afraid to go wild!
If there is one room in the house where you really can get away with going really bold, the bathroom is most definitely it! We absolutely LOVE this fantastic wall paper called Crane Fonda ‘Emerald’, which is available at divine savages who offer the most gorgeous collection of wallpapers.

And of course, no bathroom would be complete without some kind of fragrance. Rather than opt for a standard bottle reed diffuser, opt for something a little arty instead!
